Se Jong

Korean$$

This homely Korean eatery looks unassuming from the outside, with its pine furniture and simple gas table barbecues. Inside are lots of fresh ingredients, plenty of marinating meats and a friendly host. Banchan - half-a-dozen free side dishes - arrive in a flash, and the house kimchi is a clear stand-out. Thinly sliced pork belly, eaten with lettuce leaves, is a classic Korean dish. Gracious staff may gently chide dawdling diners, encouraging them to add more chicken to the grill and eat up. More beer, more meat: no problem! Book ahead to beat the odd queue for tables.
