Sea Cow

The titular dugong, adorning the exterior in mural form, is the proverbial fish - or more accurately, mammal - out of water in this leafy, land-locked corner of Paddington. We mere humans, however, can still savour the tang of the open seas in every bite of the tip-top seafood at this classy fish 'n' chippery. Grab a street-side table, check out the blackboard menu and set sail with salty little whitebait or chunky salmon-and-potato fishcakes. Choose your fish - barra, salmon, flathead, silver dory or King George whiting among the rotating selection - grilled or lightly battered with lush, golden chips, and order a side of fresh, crunchy coleslaw. Finish with a treat from Paddo ice-cream maestros Nice Cream.
