This former textile factory backing on to Chinatown whisks you to a distant land of exotic spices and devilish concoctions. Elaborately patterned silk cheongsams hang from the darkened ceiling and candlelight illuminates exposed brick walls and floorboards. It's halfway between washhouse and speakeasy, with smoky jazz floating out over the well-stocked bar towards white leather banquettes. The staff dress like gangsters, in black pinstripes and red ties. If they aren't master criminals, they're certainly master cocktail-makers, whipping up inspired creations such as '50s El Diablos or martinis as dirty as you like.
