This friendly Bay Street spot keeps the produce local where possible, and they say nearly everything is made from scratch. The brunchy menu features a roll-call of gourmet heroes, including Green Eggs - poached, baked or scrambled - La Madre bread, Barkly Smokehouse ham, Calendar cheese, Serendipitea and Jonesy's milk. Breakfast might be French toast with banana and spiced mascarpone, or Bircher muesli with berry coulis, while lunch runs the gamut from pork-belly sandwiches to house-cured salmon. Coffee Supreme espressos ($3.20) have sweet stonefruit hints and a creamy feel in the mouth.
