Full of workmen during the day, groups of friends and family at night, this diner, with its never-ending takeaway line, keeps its efficient staff busy. Their famed charcoal chicken, slathered in chilli and garlic sauce, is tender and, yep, finger-licking good. Follow with juicy pork belly and its crunchy crackling and some slices of warm, soft and buttery polenta. Chargrilled peppers and sardines are not for the faint-hearted; a mouthful of flesh and bones gives the jaw a workout. And although not a traditional dessert, house-made chocolate mousse is a deliciously decadent end to a hearty meal.
