Single Origin Roasters

Inside this caffeine-obsessed cafe, toy soldiers parachute down from the ceiling. It’s an installation by designers Luchetti Krelle, but it’s apt given the military precision that Single Origin Roasters devotes to coffee. There’s the house blend, international origins of the month, a feature blend, and an attached brew bar that delivers your bean fix via Aeropress, siphon, pourover or cold drip. Food is seriously good, too. Think confit chicken with yoghurt, herbed lentils and chorizo, or a toasted cornbread sandwich jammed with beautifully braised mushies, caramelised onion, fetta and spinach. The Reservoir Dog with onion rings cheekily name-checks the street address.
