Small Block

Cafe

When Brunswick arty types roll out of bed late morning, this concrete-floored industrial-cool caff fills up - but that doesn’t mean you’ll get pretension with your soy latte. Staff bring smiles and thoughtful - though not overly adventurous - breakfast fare. Eggs florentine rest atop a sourdough roll with a generous side of smoked salmon, while huevos rancheros sandwiches a tomatoey tumble of beans and chorizo between flour tortillas. Locals return for the ‘summer breakfast’ (eggs, feta, avocado, spinach and beetroot relish) or go straight to lunchtime pides - but with kids’ toys and great coffee, why not get up early?
