Vegetarian/Vegan

Clearly this is not your typical butcher. There's no sawdust or coolroom chill, just a simple canteen/shop with a sausage-sizzle vibe - even if the snags happen to be made from tomato, polenta and basil, or other vegan-friendly ingredients. At this permanent storefront for the popular Addison Road Organic Markets stall of the same name, you can pick up great snacks, like crumbed mushrooms or 'Kentucky-style' tofu nuggets, or try a hefty, wholesome 'Butcher' burger with old-school toppings. The polenta-sausage sandwich with sauteed mushrooms is a good way to tempt any faux-meat sceptics.
