Sushi Bar Taka

Japanese

This modest arcade eatery works well for a quick fix or relaxed meal. Choose from the photo menu or press a button to summon staff for helpful hints. Train-travelling sushi includes nigiri, rolls and gunkan, with the usual salmon, kingfish, scallops, chicken and avocado, plus a few oddities: chilli-dusted Mexican chicken taco sushi, anyone? (Believe it or not, it isn’t bad!) Beyond the hypnotically trundling titbits, there are well-executed standards such as katsudon, Japanese curry, ramen soup, bento boxes and moreish fried treats such as soft-shell crab and chicken karaage - all produced by just two seemingly unflappable chefs.
