Tartan booths, kitschy wall art and bookshelves give the Abercrombie an odd but endearing 1970s Scottish library vibe. This, and its proximity to several universities, may explain the student-crammed booths. Chances are they're there for the bargain daily meal deals - or a sneaky deep-fried Golden Gaytime. Most other offerings are of the deep-fried persuasion and require two hands and numerous napkins. It's definitely worth rolling up your sleeves for the Dorito-crusted chicken burger, the mac'n'cheese balls or, if you're brave enough, take on the dangerously delicious foot-long 'Double Dawg' hotdog.
