The Annandale Hotel

Pub dining

Black walls reek of rock 'n' roll and the Perkins Paste carpets help the muso crowd stay upright. Yet step out the back into the decked garden and the contrast couldn't be greater. Wok 'n' Roll restaurant transforms into Pub Cha at the weekend. Trolleys and rude waiters are replaced by a pretty-as-can-be beer garden with palm trees and a menu tick-list of choices beyond China. Within minutes tables are heaving with dumplings, Chinese broccoli, barbecued chicken, Thai fish cakes, calamari and moreish spicy satay gado gado. Friendly staff round off a great afternoon.
