The Camperdown Hotel

13/20

There's been a change of the guard at The Camperdown and now generous, fresh and well-cooked fare is the order of the day. One hundred-day grain-fed beef with roast pumpkin salad; roasted salmon fillet; beer-battered flathead and char-grilled pork ribs sit alongside all the burgers, pastas and share plates you'd expect. Chicken schnitzels are huge and deliciously moist, though a parmigiana was let down by too much stringy cheese. The pastas are vegetarian with optional chicken and the same goes for the fresh and appealing caesar salad. There are $10 Sunday roasts and two-for-one meals on Thursday nights.
