The Commodore

14.5/20

The Commodore's had a bit of a facelift; inside boasts new wallpaper, a marble fireplace and green tiling. Outside still houses one of the better pub courtyards around. The broad menu includes entrees such as grilled vegetable stack with haloumi (the mix of vegies is mostly of the garden variety) and a decent selection of mains. Steamed barramundi is subtly imbued with a fragrant yellow curry sauce, while the 100 days grain-fed sirloin steak is accompanied by the biggest, longest chips ever seen. Finish with a Second Wind cocktail: Smirnoff, Patron XO Cafe liqueur, espresso and a hint of almond syrup.
