The decor is clean, urban and organic, the exposed brick, packing crates and concrete softened by aproned staff who make sure you're happy with your table and have water to drink. Owner Mariella Traina works magic with the special Coffee Alchemy blend, turning out rich cocoa piccolos ($3.50) or cold-drip coffee for those waiting in line. Food is exceptional, from the Nutella bomba and the Mr Smith sandwich of soft egg, bacon and tomato relish to the roasted wild mushrooms on toasted brioche with crisp prosciutto, poached egg and salted ricotta.
