The Courthouse Hotel

14/20

Contemporary

For years the Courtie, hidden in Newtown's back streets, was a local secret kept tightly under wraps. But word is out, and you'll want to arrive early if the sun is shining to secure a table under the giant frangipani tree in the fab beer garden. You rarely find great pizza at a pub, but here the margherita is delicious, with juicy slices of fresh tomato, basil and a little sea salt. The vegie burger is made with a real patty (no bubble and squeak) and the vegie stir-fry is easily big enough to share. The steaks also come highly recommended.
