Thai

This inner-city pub features walls lined with rugby memorabilia and spacious rooms to enjoy a meal while watching sport on the big screens. The inexpensive menu with both Pan-Asian and classic pub fare is a neighbourhood favourite, and a steady stream of locals drops in to pick up takeaway. The picks are the Penang curry, its spiciness tempered by rich coconut milk and the thinly sliced barbecued beef - charcoal grilled and finished with fish sauce. If you're not in the mood for Asian, the $9 hamburger is a winner. Steer clear of the deep-fried seafood plate: it wasn't as fresh as hoped for.
