We love the Jack & Jude. Tucked inside an Engadine arcade, it has impeccable retro cred - think floral bunting, rescued chairs and tea cosies - an organic produce-driven menu, home-baked treats and juices. It's also family-run, with owner Rhys Hart's retired barrister dad John as short-order cook and sisters Kate and Jess working the floor. One of a gazillion reasons to check out this quirky cafe is the coffee: Rhys air-roasts the 100% organic Australian beans on-site with spectacular results. A double espresso ($3.50) brewed on a classic Electra machine is bold, peppery and perfect.
