Service is neither slick nor quick but perhaps that's the river's influence as it winds slowly past The Jetty. Our advice is to just give into it, sit back and take in the sweeping view through the large windows with a chilled glass of wine. Befitting the riverbank location, lunch and dinner menus offer plenty of seafood tastes, including a generous serve of crisp fried squid with a light dipping sauce of coriander, chilli, soy and bonito; white anchovies accompanied by tomato and caper salsa or grilled tiger prawns in a salad of watermelon and Persian fetta with mint and watercress. From the 'In Between' section, designed for smaller appetites, try the white battered fish with grilled corn and chilli salsa atop a taco, or dip a toe into Italy with seared scallop risotto or tender gnocchi. Traditionalists will be happy with a thick eye fillet with double-smoked bacon, while dessert options include the three Ps - panna cotta, parfait and pudding - as well as a cheese platter for those who prefer a more savoury finish.
