The Kitschen Pantry

Cafe$$

It’s the corner store every neighbourhood should have - a simple spot with friendly staff, good grub and a laid-back, old-school vibe (helped by nanna-chic laminex tables). It’s also a one-stop shop, with everything from handmade macarons to raw honey (and eco cleaning products). Owner Alain has put a bit of his French heritage into the menu, with classics like beef bourguignon or coq au vin. Breakfasts feature things like free-range poached eggs with runny, bright yolks atop tomato bruschetta; or gluten-free banana pancakes with honey, lemon and cream. Coffee’s not always expertly made, but it’s served with a smile.
