The Local Taphouse

Modern Australian$$

It's hard to go past the Taphouse, a multi-layered pub that gets it right on many levels. With mismatched furniture and a delightfully quirky cosiness, this magnet for beer aficionados makes as much a virtue of its pub grub as its extensive range of brews. The snacks, including fluffy pork floss and a cracking chicken paté, suit those diving into the five-beer tasting paddles and the bigger meals, apart from a slightly tasteless chicken breast parmigiana, do not disappoint. The Moroccan lamb pizza with eggplant and feta was a delight, and the pulled pork burger seriously moreish.
