The Marlborough Hotel

13/20

Contemporary$$

The welcoming staff at the Marly can brighten a dull day but the tired presentation of the food makes for a less than extraordinary experience. You can enjoy meals and bar snacks in the small bistro area, the beer garden or in the bar itself. The menu covers the usual suspects: steak, fish and the ubiquitous chicken parmigiana along with a small selection of salads and pastas and antipasto and platters to share. The presence of edamame as a starter raises hopes of a tasty experience but what arrives has perhaps seen better days and delivering it with the mains defeats the purpose.
