Contemporary

Ask the GPS to locate memory lane and it might suggest this homage to the old-school milk bar. There are arcade games, and jars filled with Fantails, gummies and other childhood lolly-bag faves sit alongside house-baked pies and jam-plumped doughnuts. It’s hard to go past the stellar burgers for lunch, but the famous omelette with crunchy karaage soft shell crab and fries, and ‘Ai’s ‘freakin’ awesome’ chicken wings (crisp bites, piled high, topped with your sauce of choice) are hits, too. There’s a plethora of pancake options, and why not, when combinations include Serendipity peanut butter ice-cream with raspberry and blueberry jelly.
