The Pour Kids

Contemporary$$

With mismatched coloured chairs, bright wall prints and eclectic wallpaper, this funky space just off Glenferrie Road is all about fun, food and fine coffee. The kitchen has been as creative with the dish names as with the food: the Clark Kent of Muesli contains ancient super grains, Google This with crumbed and deep-fried poached eggs, Mush Ado About Nothing, mushies served with taleggio and pinenut tart. An Axil seasonal blend long black is rich, creamy and smooth, with notes of caramel and lingering plum, plus there's a weekly single origin, maybe a Honduras Otilio Hernandez, nicely pulled from the La Marzocco SE70.
