Brekkie standouts include ‘Google This’, a pair of crumbed poached eggs deep fried to perfection so their gooey yolks spill onto Istra chorizo, croutons, endive and crumbled feta. ‘Much Ado About Nothing’ – a rich taleggio and pinenut tart surrounded by buttery enoki, oyster, Swiss brown and shimeji mushies – is also exemplary. At lunch the humble sandwich is anything but: ciabatta and baguettes might come stuffed with spicy chickpea ragu, pickled eggplant and yoghurt; or braised pork, kasoundi and mizuna leaves.
