Never mind the locals who delight in calling this place The Stunned Wallet, it's one of Port's picks on the food map. The northerly outlook straight up Town Beach is hard to beat, the room's blond timbers and beachy blues reflecting the setting. And while guests may be lulled by the views and the warm, polished service, there's some serious effort being put in by the kitchen. The classic pairing of pork belly and scallops never leaves this menu and little wonder, they've nailed each component, teaming it with crunchy green papaya shreds. Patagonian toothfish makes a rare, exotic appearance, a soy and mirin stock and bean sprout shiso salad supporting the creamy-fleshed white fillet. Passionfruit curd tart provides all kinds of oral fun with pop rocks, raspberry sherbet and a bubbly toffee crisp. The mullet's not the only one stunned.

And … The fries with chipotle mayo are pretty darn good.
