Touch wood. It's what's in your mind when approaching this newish neighbourhood noshery for the first time. But the touch Emma Woods has given her bustling cafe has given it a real place in the heart of the local community, with streams of families continually filtering in and out. The medium-roast Stazione Espresso Omerta blend gives a nutty, buttery feel through milk (caffe latte $3), and brekky goes from platters of soft-boiled egg, cucumber, haloumi and olives to chorizo-and-potato omelettes, with everything made on the premises. Rumour is, they're opening soon for Saturday night dinner. Touch wood.
