Contemporary

It seems only yesterday that Three Beans opened its first tentative cafe in Chatswood in 2007, but now there are 17 different Three Beaners across Sydney, thanks to brothers Matt and James Howe's effective and non-greedy franchise operation. One of the three beans (the others are vanilla and mung) refers to the certified organic Rainforest Alliance coffee, and a house blend caffe latte ($3.50) in this airy, streetside space actually feels as if it is doing you good. Stay for a bacon and egg tart, salmon rye sandwich, golden corn fritter or a Punjabi chai, and you'll soon be feeling full of beans.
