Thuan An

If an architect-designed fitout is your top priority, stop reading now. Thuan An is clean and comfortable, but swanky it ain’t. On the plus side, the food is cheap, tasty and appears swiftly. Crisp soft-shell crab, cooked whole in a light batter, lives up to its name, and a generous bowl of goat curry, garnished with herbs and served with a bread roll, is fragrant and tender. Combination stir-fry is a satisfying mixture of chicken and beef, vegetables and noodles; and squid salad comes surrounded by prawn crackers, the yielding curls of cephalopod having just the right amount of chilli, lime and crunch.
