Tin Pan Alley is not as clattering and confined as the name suggests. Instead it's roomy and relaxed, the soundtrack more smooth jazz than hopeful honky tonk. A massive igloo-shaped, wood-fired oven sends forth light, simple pizzas such as prawn and chorizo with a burst of chilli flakes, or more intriguing options such as the sausage pizza topped with black pudding and finished with a quail egg. Starters, including wood-fired saganaki with a dollop of crushed olives, are magic with a glass from the impressive wine list, while a white chocolate tiramisu, served in a squat jam jar and crowned with strawberries, is the perfect finish.
