Titanic Cafe

Mediterranean$$

Tuscan meets Middle Eastern opulence: hookah smoking on the far left, an imposing wood-fired pizza oven on the far right. Similarly, the halal menu is a multicultural tour de force. Of the Middle Eastern favourites such as fried kibbeh, fattoush and shawarma, the chicken shawarma is the pick, with impossibly tender meat pieces served with colourful pickles, mild toum and flatbread. Most of the menu is Italian, including pasta, risotto and a two-dozen-strong wood-fired pizza list that goes from traditional margherita to gourmet Mediterranean. The latter has a thick, moist crust, piled high with sun-dried tomatoes, artichoke, roasted capsicum and gooey fetta.
