While it lacks the sizzling robata grill and the high-flying cocktail scene of its Surry Hills big brother, Paddington’s favourite sushi train still manages to do a lot with a conveyor belt and a cold Asahi. Perch on a stool and pick and choose from the colour-coded plates, but don’t ignore the printed menu. Some of the best things are done freshly to order rather than sent out on tracks - such as the tempura prawn and soft-shell crab temaki (hand rolls). Local rag-traders crowd in at lunchtime for a bowl of miso, decent nigiri sushi and some hot gossip.
