Contemporary

Pia Hambour and Georgina March's Box Brownie bakery business morphed into this cutely homespun cafe in mid-2012. As well as the brownies - lush, moist and raspberry-tinged or with a hit of Murray River salt caramel maybe - there's a mainly vegetarian and organic menu with a bit of sustainable meat thrown in that changes every day or so. An organic/free-range bacon and egg muffin with house-made tomato relish is feel-good fast food, while the tart of the day - maybe caramelised onion, feta and lime zest - does double duty for breakfast and lunch. Water is served in jam jars via old lemonade bottles, while coffee is by Seven Seeds.
