To’s Malaysian Gourmet

Malaysian

This hole-in-the-whole on North Sydney’s main drag has been a lunchtime go-to for aeons. Laksa with crisp fried chicken and roti with beef rendang or chicken curry are the favourites - and rightly so. The laksa soup is solid and the roti is light, crisp and elastic. Aficionados might find other dishes such as har mee soup or koay teow noodles need flavour adjustments via the condiments provided, but at these prices, who’s complaining? The menu takes in lots of Malaysian favourites, ready-to-go in the bain maries and glass cabinets, or made-to-order for those with time to eat in.
