Tosung

Korean$$

Hidden in plain sight on a main road, Tosung surprises with its stylish interior of wooden beams, stucco walls and starry lights. Each table has a buzzer for service and an exhaust hood to absorb smoke from the DIY charcoal barbecues. Smoked duck is the signature selection here, but chicken marinated in go chu jang and thinly sliced bulgogi beef rib are equally good. Wrap the meats in fresh lettuce, add Korean chilli sauce and raw garlic and go. Steamed rice and pickled vegies balance the flavours. Add a hotpot of spicy beancurd soup and this is spicy barbecue heaven.
