Touche Hombre

Mexican$$

Its dark walls vibrant with street art and a flashing Ghostbusters sign, Touche Hombre is as much about the experience as it is the exciting Mexican street food. The best perch is at the bar stools, with direct access to jugs of zesty margarita and the advice of hipster staff. Lime-infused ceviche served in teeny glass jars sparkles on the tongue; a heavenly bug taco crackles then melts subserviently. Pulled chipotle pork quesadillas are another highlight. It’s so moreish that the bargain prices soon rack up. Much of the menu is gluten free, and Monday is vegie night. Also in South Yarra.
