Contemporary

There are crazy-many cafe/cyclery hybrids in inner Sydney, but for John Azzi and Grahame Rowe this is no passing fad. The boys spent five years in Amsterdam soaking up the cycling culture, and have set up their own little slice of the Netherlands in Redfern. The Di Gabriel coffee has a broad chocolatey flavour with a syrupy aftertaste, while the Pitstop menu has a distinct Dutch twist. 'Ei, ham and kaas' (creamy baked eggs topped with cheese) is unexpectedly souffle-like, and the pies are Funky. It's the staff that really set this place apart; genuine and attentive, they don't miss a beat.
