Twisted Noodle Bar

Twisted Noodle’s contemporary Yunnanese-style menu reads like a list of dares written by a 16-year-old. The noodle soups have a chilli and sour meter that ranges from small to extreme and the sides look like a who’s who of pork real estate. Have some blood jelly and pig ears or some Yunnan noodles packed with eggs, mushrooms and a trifecta of ‘normal’ meat. The fish- or pork-based broths are aromatic, light and best with as much chilli and sour as you can handle. If you get too much there’s honeyed grapefruit juice, sweet coffee and a TV blaring aggressively happy Asian pop to ease the pain.
