British$$

There are few better hangover cures than welsh rarebit and Two Pea's no-nonsense mix of beer and melted cheddar on toast is one of the best (especially paired with a zingy bloody mary). For something a little less hair-of-the-dog, line-caught fish with a hefty scoop of mushy peas and hand-cut chips has quickly become the regulars' go-to dish, and saltbush braised lamb shank with mash and black cabbage is succulently fall-apart tender. Service is relaxed at times and the room a little stark, but local and ethical produce delivered with confidence makes this a welcome addition to the 'hood.
