'Just follow the graffiti', suggests co-owner Aki Daikos, if you want to find his little haven on the corner opposite Marrickville Station. Working his La Marzocco like he means business, Daikos says his dream was to bring a slice of Italy to Marrickville, hence the packed panini, handmade pasta, antipasto plates and pastries from A&P Sulfaro Pasticceria Italiana in Haberfield. He's there from the crack of dawn, pumping caffeine into the veins of battle-ready commuters, who appreciate, if they're awake, the butterscotch, toffee and subtle fruit of Campos' flagship Superior blend ($3.50). And if they're not yet awake, they soon will be.
