Wabi Sabi Garden

17 Wellington Street, St Kilda, Victoria

All Details

Welcome to Wabi Sabi World: a surprisingly big space, with labyrinthine rooms – a garden between them – collections of oddments and a mirror wall. The fun park analogy plays out with little surprises on the menu, which has the odd contemporary flourish, like kingfish sashimi with garlic chips and mint, or maybe a burger at lunch (wagyu, of course). But the menu is mostly pretty straight, with bento boxes at lunch (a crumbed fish bento may seem dry), mixed sushi and sashimi plates, and tempura with white rice and pickles. Marooned on the Windsor-side of St Kilda junction, Wabi Sabi is a world unto itself.
