Windsor Castle Hotel

Six delicately wrapped prawn parcels are placed in front of me with a smile, just as my dining companion returns with our drinks, so fast and friendly is The Windsor Castle service. The traditional fried feast at this popular East Maitland watering hole has been remodelled into a varied, good-value menu built around the famed wood-fire pizzas. The meat supreme is certainly that, with chunks of bacon, meatballs and ham, punctuated with pineapple, mushroom and capsicum. The base is generously topped, but a little underdone. Just don't change your mind - they'll have it ready before you can say 'excuse me'.
