Last year's multi-million-dollar makeover, including an extension to the over-water deck and a spruce-up of the enclosed kids' play area, makes the view inside as good as the one across the Yamba lagoon. Pub favourites such as chicken parmigiana and pasta keep the regulars happy while a nod to gourmet tastes is attracting a new crowd. Twice-cooked pork belly is soft and tender and has a snappable crust. The steak sandwich features succulent, perfectly seared beef and comes with shoestring fries and fresh garden greens. A piece of house-made chocolate hazelnut slice and a coffee from the in-house barista are a perfect finish.
