Yen for Viet

Vietnamese$$

It’s very easy to develop a yen for this place. Fire engine red walls and black tables and chairs make for a sharp looking dining room, and there’s a brisk sense of efficiency that’s more friendly than foreboding. Food comes out quick smart, even on a busy night. Bahn xeo, a crisp yellow pancake filled with pork, prawn, beanshoots and herbs served with lettuce leaves and herbs and nuoc cham dipping sauce on the side, is crisp, golden and tasty. Skip the underwhelming grilled wagyu wraps and go for hot, moreish salt-and-pepper squid, and a steaming bowl of pho.
