Yong Green Food

Vegetarian/Vegan$$

For anyone who thinks vegetarian + raw = boring, Yong Green is a luscious education. The extensive and inventive menu has a distinct Asian accent (echoed by the whimsical painted wall murals), with a nod or two to Mexico (chia nachos) and Italy (‘rawsagna’, layered vegetables with walnut bolognese). Cooked dishes include soy ‘kingfish’, Thai green curry, and warmly spiced quinoa fritters with a miraculous coconut-chilli dipping sauce. Lightness and freshness enable some serious eating without feeling overstuffed, even if you order the meltingly rich tiramisu, made with organic spiced rum and coconut butter.
