Yuga Cafe and Gallery

Modern Australian

Blooms across the colour spectrum still appear at Yuga Cafe & Gallery, even though the florist once housed here has moved across the road. The front room has a visual chorus of bouquets and the odd petal appears on tables. Also within view: an art collection that changes every six weeks and, importantly, a range of good breakfast options, from bruschetta heaped with feta and thyme-flavoured mushrooms to a pile-up of ingredients (bacon, potatoes, caramelised onions and chives) seeking refuge in a security blanket of scrambled eggs. Inspired sides include salty fried curls of cavolo nero and home-made tomato and capsicum relish. Thirsty diners will enjoy the grapefruit, mango and kaffir lime leaf frappe.
