Riemer designs female-focused menu

The inaugural Women in Food and Agriculture luncheon will be held this Sunday at the Royal Melbourne Show. A panel will respond to the question, ''What does food and the land mean to you?'' It will include Adie Dawes-Birch, chief executive of the Global Foundation; Wendy Hargreaves, journalist and publisher; Miranda Sharp, founder of Melbourne Farmers' Markets; Lucy Manne, co-director of the Australian Youth Climate Coalition; and Suzy Martin, co-principal and beef breeder at Welcome Swallow Angus. Nicky Riemer, chef and co-owner of Richmond's Union Dining, has designed the menu using ingredients from female producers.

Tickets, which include entry to the show, are $60 for Royal Agricultural Society of Victoria members and $65 for non-members. Book on 9281 7457.
