Parlour is hosting an intimate alfresco summer lunch under the trees for the Canberra Times Good Food Month.

Sip an Aperol spritz with canapes such as Wapengo oysters on the terrace before taking a seat at a communal long table on the John Avery lawns.

Alex Johnson, Parlour's media manager, says it will be an informal feast with guests pouring their own Lerida Estate wine and helping themselves from big platters brought to the table. "The idea behind is that we're going to be doing stuff that's very fresh, light," he says.

Head chef James Forman will be doing roast pork and free range roast lamb from the Majura Valley while dessert will include fresh berries and summer fruit.

If you can't make the lunch then you can enjoy a Sunday Spritz session on the terrace. Local DJ Jem Natividad will be playing a groovy set with $10 negronis, $10 Americanos and $8 Aperol spritzes and two for one bar plates.

The Summer Long Lunch at Parlour is on Sunday, March 20 at 1pm. $55-$95. Book on 6257 7325.
