Trio set to rock the South

Keep an eye out for a South Melbourne venue under renovation.

Chef, restaurateur and television presenter Iain Hewitson, the co-owner of St Kilda restaurant Barney Allen's, is orchestrating a new venture in partnership with Holly's Garden winemaker and Moondarra beef farmer Neil Prentice, along with long-time Barney Allen's employee Nic Hope.

The trio's exact format is yet to be finalised but expect an American-style diner with a vintage 1969 Rockola jukebox and an affordable approach to the menu.

All things going well, it's expected to open in about three months.
