Pulp Kitchen offers two options for Valentine’s Day, which falls on a Friday, perfect for a night out. It has a four-course degustation at 6pm ($75), and a six-course degustation at 8.30pm ($95).

The menu at 6pm offers oysters with champagne granita, duck-liver parfait with pickled plums and rye toast, then beef or south coast sea bream.

Finish off with dark chocolate terrine or vanilla panna cotta with strawberries and meringue. The six-course menu adds a dish of beetroot-cured salmon, and another of European farmhouse cheeses, 6257 4334.

Rubicon has a Valentine’s menu also, but it’s already booked out. So far, they’re the only ones we’ve heard of.
