It launched in 1998 to great fanfare in what was then Good Living. Fifteen years on, Good Food Month is back. Or it will be, in October.

In 2012 almost a million people attended food and wine events in Sydney and throughout NSW during the Crave Sydney International Food Festival. But for 2013, the country's biggest food festival has decided to return to its former name.

Festival director Joanna Savill says: ''So many people still refer to October as Good Food Month anyway, so we expect the transition to be very smooth!''

And definitely well received.
